'The Shadow proves the SUNSHINE.'
Oh the sunshine in this glorious state of ours…autumn. All 30 degrees celcius of it! No need for jumpers just yet. Catching a few morning rays with Monet and a coffee…on my Monet yellow bench of course!
'One day someone is going to hug you so tight, that all your broken pieces are going to fit back together.'
So, so sad to hear of another young life taken in what appears to be tragic circumstances. Some families just get so much heart ache. Life is hard and far harder for some than others. We don't know the circumstances of Peaches Geldof's death but it hints at depression which is so sadly prevalent in our society. I really hope and pray that if anyone is feeling low and despondent about life, that there is someone they can turn to to hold them tight. There are no words for the sorrow of family left behind to pick up the pieces…reach out and be a tight hug for someone right now. You never know, that one moment may just be what puts them back together forever.
'Watch a sunrise at least once a day.'
Glorious early morning sunrise. Divine, beautiful, amazing way to start the day, witness to shimmering gold over calm water. Blessed.
'The Mad Hatter: Have I gone Mad? Alice: I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.'
Its day 100 of my year long photo project…satisfaction I've made it this far with this crazy, mad idea. I'm loving how its turning out and can't wait to see another 265 photos added to the album. Please shout out if you are liking all the fun…feel free to share!
Day 101 - 11th April
'You can't buy happiness but you can buy ice-cream and that's kind of the same thing.'
Let the holidays begin!! The kids are exhausted, with eyes prone to spontaneously leak at the smallest provocation…Bon disappointed that she didn't make it into the inter- house dancing comps and therefore needing some ice-cream therapy after school today. She's feeling better now…chocolate sauce, sprinkles and ice-cream do wonders for the soul every now and then.
'Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.'
First day of the school holidays and for the girl in her last year of high school, its been all about her Year 12 art final. Interesting hearing about what the other girls are producing for their portfolios…art really is a great way to find identity. From art to sailing she has gone!! Last race of the sailing season and she's crewing for a family friend - they have won every time she's been on board. Good luck Bel!
'She is delightfully chaotic; a beautiful mess. Loving her is a splendid adventure.'
Early sunrise start to a sunday with littlest lady off with a bunch of friends on the 'Gallipoli Fun Run' in King's Park…4 kms. Well done Bon. Got fur child and I up early too. We enjoyed the beach at sunrise with just the fishermen as company.
The downfall of a water dog? Wet dog smell that lingers way past a good bath and sand in thick coat…that sand will drop throughout the house for at least 4 days!! Yep, delightfully chaotic, a beautiful mess. My goodness I love this pooch.
