Payment

I accept all major credit cards as payment.
I am unable to accept money orders or cheques at this time.

Returns and Refunds

Please note:  All refunds will be minus the original postage and handling costs and the Shopify processing fee that is incurred on each payment. If your item was sent with Free Postage, the shipping costs I incur will be deducted from your refund.

Fine Art prints

I do not offer change of mind returns on prints, whether paper or canvas, as they are printed on demand to your order. Colour calibration may differ between devices, so it is advised to view the image on multiple devices (desktop, iPhone, iPad ) prior to purchase. My professional photographer captures an exact likeness to each artwork and each print is authorised by me prior to printing. Colour differences are not a valid reason for a return.

I do not offer returns on Fine Art Prints as they are very delicate. I carefully inspect and package my prints to make sure they are sent in pristine condition. Once they are in possession of the collector, I am not liable for the goods.

It is not the artists duty to refund, replace, exchange or compensate for damage of the product that has been mishandled by the customer. Please note that creasing, smudging and damage will occur if not handled with care.

If your print or original artwork arrives damaged due to the handling of the postal service, please contact me via email, with documenting photos and I will do my best to sort it out for you.

Original Artwork

I offer a 7 day return on original artwork.
For your artwork to be eligible for a return, it must be in the same condition that you received it. I take documenting photos prior to packaging to support how it was sent. All return postage and courier costs, with insurance, must be paid by the customer.

Greeting cards and products such as homewares are not eligible for return.

As per Australia’s consumer protection laws, shipping fees on any or all returned items are not covered by the artist.

Shipping Policy

I am a sole trader, handling most of my own shipping. Please be patient if there are any small delays in receiving your item.

Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances such as world pandemics, natural disasters and strikes, shipping may become delayed.
I do not offer express delivery as I have found that often it does not expedite the time due to measures outside of my knowledge.

The artist, Mia Laing, is not responsible for undelivered goods based on incorrect shipping addresses given by the customer. Please check you have provided the correct mailing address at the time of ordering.

International duties and taxes

Mia Laing is not liable for import or duty fees incurred on any originals, prints or products. These duties and fees are not calculated at the checkout and are determined by the customs agency of the destination country. It is the responsibility of the customer to research and pay any taxes, duties or similar charges. These taxes and duties are charged according to the laws of the destination country and I have no control over these extra charges and take no responsibility of their payment.

The item will often be returned by the customs agency if these additional amounts are not paid. If the item is returned in its original condition, I will refund you the cost of your purchase, minus the shipping costs of shipping it to your destination.

Please note - Items are declared at purchase value for exporting internationally. Under no circumstances will documents be falsified.

Gratitude and Giving back

A huge thank you for your ongoing support of my small art business. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to call making art my job. I thank you for your part in my journey.

Each year, I make a donation to a charity of my choice and you may be pleased to know that a percentage of profit from your purchase will be given back to those in need.
